Willard E. Armstrong, 81, of 1734 Second Ave. died of a heart ailment Sunday at his home. A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Chariton town cemetery.
Mr. Armstrong was born in Des Moines, where he lived most of his life and was a retired salesman for the Bankers Life Co.
Survivors include one son, Richard of Carlisle; three grandchildren; and five great-grand-children.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Association for Retarded Citizens.
