Mrs. Nellie Cree, 67, wife of Edward Cree, courthouse custodian, died early Friday at her home near Rising Sun, IA., as a result of a paralytic stroke, suffered several weeks ago.

Mrs. Cree was a member of the pioneer Polk county Saylor family, which settled the suburban Des Moines community of Saylorville, north of the city.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Cree is survived by three children, John Cree, city fireman; Mrs. John Altman of Mitchellville, IA., and Mrs. Mary Peters of Rising Sun.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Rising Sun church. The Rev. E.A. Elliott will officiate.
