Richard W. Saylor, 73, of St. Louis died of complications of pneumonia there Tuesday. The body was cremated, and memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Waukee. Burial of the cremains will be at a later date.

Mr. Saylor was born in Des Moines and had lived here 65 years before moving to St. Louis eight years ago. He was a retired claims manager with Bruce Motor Freight Co., a Navy veteran and active with Highland Park Little League. He enjoyed family activities.

He is survived by his wife, Ethel; three sons, James A. of Waukee, Thomas L. of West Des Moines and Lawrence P. of St. Louis; a daughter, Terri J. Cook of Blue Springs, MO.; a sister, Patricia Bauman of DeSoto; two brothers, Lawrence G. of Salina, KS., and James R. of Bella Vista, AR,; and seven grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association or the American Heart Association.
