Marion Saylor, 73, of Des Moines died March 3, 2005(it's 2006) at Mercy Medical Center. Services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 7, 2006 at the Steen Funeral Home in Greenfield. Burial will be in the Greenfield Cemetery with full Military Rites.

Marion was born in Adair County and had lived in the Des Moines area since 1957. He was a machine operator at Frye Copy Systems in Des Moines before retiring. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War. He enjoyed fishing and going to the casino.

Marion is survived by his wife, Beverly of Des Moines; sons, Rodney (Patti) of Ames and Roger (Leann) of Treynor; three grandchildren; two brothers, William Saylor of Arizona and Dale (Trudy) of Norwalk; two sisters, Maxine Nelson of Stuart and Fannie Doyle of Harrison, NE.

Visitation will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
