James Waddell died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. C. P. Kilgore, of 2115 Mondamin avenue, yesterday after an illness of two months. He was 85 years old. The deceased was a retired farmer and a member of the G. A. R. Three daughters survive, Mrs. C. P. Kilgore and Mrs. Loren Stile of Des Moines and Mrs. Solomon Haines of St. Charles. The funeral services will be held at the home of his daughter Wednesday morning at 10 o’clock. The body will be taken to St. Charles for interment.
