Jim Lane, 59, passed away Saturday evening, June 13, 2010 at Taylor House Hospice of ALS. Born in Des Moines to Ralph and Mercedes Lane, Jim lived all of his life in Runnells. He worked at Stone Container as a warehouse foreman and enjoyed farming in his earlier years. His favorite pass time was Knoxville Racing and for years was a full time camper at the track. Jim was preceded in death by his father Ralph.

Surviving are his wife Marcia Lane of Runnells; son Shaun (Rachelle Risetter) Lane of Runnells; daughter Stephanie (Jeff) Strangberg of Runnells; three grandchildren Hunter, Izaac and Olivia; his mother Mercedes Lane of Runnells, and his brother Jerry (Lisa) Lane of Runnells.

A visitation for Jim will be Saturday, June 19, 2010 at the Runnells Christian Church in Runnells from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
