Death of Harriet West

Harriet West, seventeen year old daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Harry O. West of Des Moines, died, last Friday morning at the Lutheran hospital after an illness of eight weeks, of anemia. Harriet was known to a number of Winterset people, having visited here at the A. W. and P __ Wilkinson homes a number of times.

Her mother, who previous to her marriage, was Osa Crawford, was born and raised in this county. Miss West attended East High school and last year attended St. Catherin's in Davenport. Her poor health prevented her returning there this fall. Funeral services were conducted Monday at one o'clock at St. Mark's Episcopal church with Rev. John M. Francis of Ft. Wayne, Ind., Rev. G. H. Sharpley of St. Catherine's school of Davenport and Rev. W. N. W. Koff of St. Mark's in charge of the services. The music was furnished by a choir consisting of her former classmates at St. Catherine's school.
