Christina Mincks-Reaves, 53, of 503 Wood St., Eldon, died on Friday, September 18, 2009, at home. She was born July 5, 1956, in Neuenberg, Germany, to Jerry Lee and Alpha Grace(Lock)Leonardi. Christina graduated in 1976 from Des Moines Tech High School. She attended St. Joseph Catholic Church in Des Moines and had been employed by the United States Postal Service. Christina also touched many lives serving as a foster parent for seven years. On September 27, 1996, she and Thomas Reaves were married in Des Moines, IA. They moved to Eldon in 2005.

Christina is survived by her husband, Tommy; children, Christopher Mincks, Amanda (Brian) Ruby, Joseph Reaves, Hayley Reaves, Beverly Burgett, and Richard Burgett all of Eldon; four grandchildren, Eric, Kennidie, Tara and Tyler. She is also survived by seven siblings, Michael Leonardi of AZ, Cynthia Pollard of Milo, Catherine Lawrence of Lacona, Clarissa Saiz of Des Moines, Cheryl Clark of Prairie City, Carleen Martin of Des Moines and Jerry Lee Leonardi Jr of Eldon. She is also remembered with love by 27 nieces and nephews and 39 great-nieces and nephews. Christina was preceded in death by her parents.

Cremation was accorded per her wishes. On Saturday, September 26, 2009, at 6 p.m., her family will gather at the Living Hope Bible Church in Eldon for a memorial service. Memorials may be left to her family.
