Colleen Azbill, 69, died Friday, April 25, 2008 at Mercy Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, April 29, 2008 at Hamilton's Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. Burial will follow at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Des Moines. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m., Monday at the funeral home.

Colleen was born on May 24, 1938 in Waterloo, IA to Malon and Sarah (Casteel) Azbill. She enjoyed traveling, going to garage sales, planting flowers and reading.

Colleen is survived by her companion of twenty-five years, George Helmers; children, Kathy Wyman of Fort Worth, Texas; Diana Bunch of Fort Worth, Texas; Ernest Bunch Jr. of Bedias, Texas; Cynthia Beaton of Chandler, Arizona; Russell Bunch of Haltom City, Texas; Patty Bishop of Norwalk; Susan Mrzena of Winterset and Vicki Ferrell of Moline, Illinois; eighteen grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and siblings.
