Nita Jerome, 93, passed away on Monday, December 31, 2007 at Adel Acres Care Center in Adel. Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at McLaren's Chapel with burial at Resthaven Cemetery.

Nita was born October 26, 1914 in Green Mountain, Iowa to Lester and Daisy Brown. She had also lived in Paullina, Iowa for several years. Nita was a member of the Covenant Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed traveling, crafts, friends and church and was an avid volunteer for her church and Iowa Methodist Medical Center.

Nita is survived by her son, Kent (Marjorie) Jerome of Clive; daughter, Judith Nan (Sam) Boshi of Cottonwood, AZ; sister, Marian (Jim) Kempkes of Clive; seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.

Nita was preceded in death by her husband, Henry E. Jerome; her parents and a brother, John Brown.

Visitation will be from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at McLaren's Chapel.
