Donna M. Romans, 67, of Des Moines, enterered into eternal rest January 16, 2008, after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer and heart disease. Her body has been cremated and a private burial at Laurel Hill Cemetery will be held at a later date.

Donna was born January 14, 1941 in Laredo, Mo. to Samuel and Josephine Coffman.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents, her only son and daughter-in-law, James D. and Linda L. Romans, and her brother, Wesley Coffman. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Clifford J. Romans; two daughters, Peggy (Charles) Smith of Des Moines, Patti (Steven) Earp of Des Moines; five grandsons, Charles and James Smith, Steven and Nicholas Earp, all of Des Moines, and James (Lacie) Romans, Jr. of Runnells; and five great-grandchildren, Brittany, Patience and Damien Smith, and Colby and Jacob Romans.
