IOWA STATE REGISTER, Saturday August 27, 1881

DIED. At Sevastopol, at 12 am night before last, MAY MAUD, adopted child of MR and MRS JOHN R. MOSELEY, aged one month.
This is the little waif that was left at the door of MR MOSELEY about three weeks since - mentioned at the time in the Register - and kindly taken in by them and adopted as their own. Yesterday its little remains were kindly and tenderly deposited in a little grave at Greenwood Cemetery.
