Robbins-Jones
A quiet wedding took place Friday evening at the home of Mrs. J. W. Jones, 2057 Clark Street, Des Moines, when Miss Mabel Iowa Jones was united in marriage to Mr. B. L. Robbins of Decatur, Iowa. The Rev. Charles S. Medbury performed the ceremony, assisted by the bride’s brother, the Rev. C. Durant Jones, of Perry, Iowa.
Mrs. Robins is a graduate of Drake University and has been prominent in musical circles of the city. Mr. Robbins is a graduate of Ames and is well known in the athletic life of that college.
The bride wore a traveling suit of dark blue taffeta and georgette, and wore a corsage bouquet of pink rosebuds. A color scheme of pink and white was carried out through the decorations and refreshments. The bride’s sister, Mary Frances Jones, invited the guests to the dining room, where refreshments were served.
The young coupe left immediately for Decatur, where they will remain until Mr. Robbins’ school work calls him to Rockwell City.
