Possibly Fatally Wounded
Des Moines, Jan. 16 – Interfering in a row between William Harmon, known in police circles as “Buckwheat” Harmon and Madame Harmon, J. T. Carey of (Cumming, Iowa) was stabbed in the right side and now lies in critical condition at Mercy Hospital. The stabbing was done by Harmon, who has been placed under arrest and in case Carey’s wound prove fatal, will be charged with murder.
