Nadine Johnson Becomes Bride of K. M. Peacock

A WEDDING of interest in Des Moines occurred Friday at 4 p. m., when Miss Nadine Johnson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. P. Johnson, 1308 Thirty-fourth st., became the bride of Kenneth M. Peacock, son of Mrs. Madeline Peacock of this city.

The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore a French afternoon frock of black chiffon velvet with lace trim and carried a shower bouquet of butterfly roses and bogardia.

Drake Graduates.

Dr. E. T. Haggerman performed the ceremony and Miss Doris Hoff played the wedding march.

Both Mr. and Mrs. Peacock are graduated of Drake university, the latter having affiliated with Delta Gamma sorority. Mr. Peacock was graduated from the law school and was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon and Phi Alpha Delta fraternities. He is now associated with Neiman and Leake, attorneys.

Home After Nov. 15.

After a short wedding trip the couple will be at home in Des Moines about Nov. 15.

Out of town guests who attended the wedding were Miss Juliette Peverill of Iowa City, Miss Maverette Beauchamp of Rockwell City, Miss Maude Lanning of Oskaloosa, Miss Dorothy Kellogg of Lead, S. D., Miss Irene Raffensperger of Iowa Falls, Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Johnson and Mrs. Rena Johnson of Boone.

KENNETH PEACOCK MARRIED TO DES MOINES GIRL FRIDAY

A marriage of interest to Spirit Lake folks was that of Kenneth Peacock and Miss Nadine Johnson, of Des Moines, on Friday. Mr. Peacock is the oldest son of Mrs. Madeline Peacock of Des Moines, formerly of Spirit Lake, and is well known in Spirit Lake. Miss Johnson is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. P. Johnson of Des Moines. She has visited in Spirit Lake many times and has made a number of acquaintances here.

The wedding took place at 4 o’clock Friday afternoon at the Johnson home. The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore a French afternoon frock of black chiffon velvet with lace trim and carried a shower bouquet of butterfly roses and bogardia.
