Sandow Has a Rival

Charles Lloyd Barney, a butcher in Des Moines, 21 years old, is a rival of Sandow. Only his intimidate friends knew of his wonderful strength until recently. He is accustomed to killing cattle with a single blow of his fist. He raises a beam on which eight men are seated, and holds it above his head. He recently raised a horse weighting 800 pounds on his shoulders, and performs many of the most remarkable feats of Sandow.
