Funeral services were held at 9:30 a.m. November 18 in Sacred Heart church, Pocahontas, for a former resident. Mrs. Mary Ellen Forey, 78, who died November 14, at Cedar Rapids where she had been making her home. Burial was in Calvary cemetery here.
Volunteer note: Mrs. Mary Ellen Forey was the former Mary Ellen McCabe born 16 Sep 1886 in Clare, Webster County, Iowa; daughter of Patrick McCabe and Margaret O'Connell. She married Edward Forey 6 Apr 1910, also in Clare. Mary Ellen also went by the name Nellie in various records. As of the 1940 census she was divorced.
