Nemaha-Earl M Welty, age 69. of Nemaha, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 11. 2003, at the Loring Hospital in Sac City following an extended illness.

A memorial service was on Thursday. Dec 18, 2003. at the Nemaha Methodist Church with Russ Davis and Pastor Karl Schiltz officiating. There will be a private family burial at the Nemaha Cemetery at a later date The Sliefert-Asmus Funeral Home in Storm Lake was in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Welty is survived by his wife. Shirley of Nemaha, his son, Francis Welty and Elaine of Pocahontas, his daughter. Michele Welty of Sioux City; three grandchildren: Tony Welty. Desiree Welty and Taylor Welty, all of Laurens; his sister. Patricia Hawkins and her husband. Norris of LeMars; and many other loving relatives and friends.
