Services held for Jason P. Logan

Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 14, at the Methodist Church in Marathon for Jason P. Logan, 80, who died May 12 at the Buena Vista County Hospital in Storm Lake. He had been a resident of the Hovenden Memorial Good Samaritan Home in Laurens for some time and suffered a stroke several months ago.

The son of Joseph W. and Mary Logan, he was born May 7, 1883, at Havelock. They lived on a farm 2 1/2 miles north of Havelock and later moved to Hewitt, Minn. In 1906 he married Ida E. Crouse and a year later moved back to Havelock. In 1909 they moved to a farm near Webb where he farmed. He also attended Iowa State College at Ames and got his veterinarian degree m 1913. They lived in Webb until 1930 when they moved to Marathon.

They were the parents of six daughters, five of whom survive. There are also 12 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
