LARIE M. WELLS

Services for Larie M. Wells, 82, Spirit Lake and formerly of Laurens, were held Tuesday morning at the Smith Funeral Chapel in Laurens. The Rev. Donald Sondrol conducted the service. Tamara Van Horsen was organist. Cremation followed the service with inurnment at a later date in the Laurens Cemetery.

Mrs. Wells was born April 10, 1898, at Laurens, the daughter of Walter and Pearl Ellis Mather, and died Aug. 9 at Hilltop Care Center in Spirit Lake. She was raised in the area and graduated from Marathon High School. On Dec. 20, 1921, she married Ned Wells in services at Laurens. After their marriage they lived in Marathon for a period of time before moving to Albert City where they operated a meat market. Following Mr. Well's retirement,they moved to Chandler, Ariz.

Mrs. Wells is survived by a a sister, Mrs. Irma Hinn, Okoboji. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1976, her parents and a sister, Mrs. Grace Beldon in 1977.
