BESSIE McDANIEL (Mercer) ... Bessie McDaniel, 81, died Saturday, July 29, 2006 at a hospital in Pocahontas, Iowa.

Graveside services and burial were held Monday, July 31 at Cedar Hill Cemetery at Blythedale, Mo., under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home of Bethany, Mo.

Mrs. McDaniel, daughter of Otho and Bessie [Hamilton] Snyder, was born in Princeton on March 18, 1925. She was married to Forest McDaniel; he died on July 27, 1992. Her parents also preceded her in death.

She was a retired schoolteacher.

Survivors include two daughters, Mary Wilhelm of Hunter, N.D., and Othel Lewis of Spencer, Iowa.

Memorial contributions may be made to Susan B. Koman Breast Cancer Foundation, in care of the funeral home at PO Box 46, Bethany, MO 64424.
