Visitation for the late John Trimble will be held on Wednesday evening,January 9 at the Powers Funeral Home at 402 4th Avenue N.E.in Pocahontas,beginning at 6:30 p.m. Mr.Trimble died Sunday,January 6 at the Trinity Regional Hospital in Fort Dodge at the age of 75.
Graveside services wil be held Thursday ,January 10 at 10:30 a.m. at Swan Lake Cemetery,two miles west of Laurens.
John Raymond Trimble was born at Laurens ,the son of Perry and Loretta Trimble. He received his education in the Laurens school and was a graduate of the Laurens High School.On November 20,1942,he was married to Evelyn Knights of Fonda in services at Pocahontas.Mr.Trimble was a farmer and custom corn sheller and trucker.He was semi-retired.
Survivors include 4 daughters and 2 sons.Terry Bastanchury of Kent, Washington; John Kenyon Trimble of Coon Rapids; Ursula Sylvia Trimble of Reno,Nevada; Evelyn Rose Trimble of Sebastoupal California; Victoria Lynn Ohlson of California and Gordon Brian Trimble of Laurens; 10 grandchildren;and two sisters,Ursula Reeter and Marian Guernsey both of Philadelphia.
He was preceded in death by his wife Evelyn,his parents and two sisters,Loretta Trimble and Charlotte Johnson.
