Obituaries--Lawrence ReevesLawrence Reeves, 80, of Nixa, Mo. and formerly of LeMars and Paullina, died Friday (July 11, 1986) in a hospital at Springfield, Mo.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Monday at Mauer--Johnson Funeral Home in LeMars. Rev. Neil Rippy, pastor of Free Methodist Church in Sioux City, officiated. Burial was in Resthaven Memory Gardens at LeMars. Visitation was from 2-5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Mr. Reeves was born May 15, 1906, in Plymouth County to Bert and Cynthia Heemstra Reeves. He lived in the LeMars and Paullina area until moving to Missouri. He married Viola Johnston on March 18, 1930, in Lead, S.D.
Survivors are his wife; two sons, LeRoy of Reeds Spring, Mo., and Dale of Louisville, Colo.; one daughter, Dorothy Salsbury of Columbia Heights, Minn; two brothers, Glenn of LeMars, and Ernest of Pharr, Texas; two sisters, Mrs. Mabel Parks of Madera, Calif., and Mrs. Myrtle Parks of LeMars; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
