Life's End

MRS. SARAH HODGSON SUCCUMBS--RITES SET THURSDAY AFTERNOON

Mrs. Sarah Hodgson, 72, lifetime resident of Plymouth county, died Monday at Brentwood nursing home here after an illness of eight years.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the First Methodist church. Rev. Milo Morris, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in LeMars Memorial cemetery under the direction of Mauer's funeral home.

Mrs. Hodgson, the former Sarah Allison, was born June 3, 1891, near LeMars. She was married to William F. Hodgson on Feb. 24, 1915, at LeMars. They lived on a farm in Stanton township until 1946 when they retired to LeMars.

She was a member of the First Methodist church and active in the Women's Society of Christian Service until her illness.

Mrs. Hodgson was preceded in death by her parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. John Allison; two brothers, John and Oscar, and one sister, Mrs. Henry Remer.

Survivors, besides her husband, are one son, Richard; three grandsons, Gerald, Rodney and Terry; one sister, Mrs. George Bowers and one brother, Arthur Allison, all of the LeMars community.
