From the LeMars Sentinel, Thursday, March 22, 1900, Page 3, Column 6:

Stanton--On last Sunday morning death entered the home of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hodgson, claiming their little 6-weeks old daughter. She had been ill for over a week, the immediate cause of death was bronchial trouble of some time standing. The funeral was held from the residence on Tuesday afternoon, Rev. Simmons, of the M. E. church of Merrill officiating, the interment taking place in the LeMars cemetery. A large number of relatives and friends turned out, showing their sympathy for this family during their affliction.

(Note--this child's name was Hazel Hodgson.)
