Insurance Agent Charles Tucker dead at 76

Charles R. Tucker, 76, longtimes secretary of Plymouth Farmers Mutual Ins. and for many years a clerk at Long's Market here, died Wednesday (Nov. 15, 1972) at the Storm Lake hospital after a long illness.

Mr. Tucker recently fell and suffered a broken hip.

He had moved to Storm Lake two and a half years ago from LeMars where he had resided all his life.

Mr. Tucker was a member of the United Methodist church, Masonic lodge Giblem 322 and Eastern Star. He had served the Masonic lodge in LeMars as their secretary for many years.

He was born Sept. 19, 1896, in Plymouth county, and was married to Bertha M. Dempster in July 1923 in LeMars. (July 25)

Funeral services will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at the Mauer funeral chapel, LeMars, with Rev. Milo Morris officiating.

Burial will be in LeMars Memorial cemetery under direction of the Mauer funeral home.

Survivors are his wife, Bertha of Storm Lake; two sons, Dr. Charles and Wilbur Tucker, both of Storm Lake; two sisters, Mrs. William (Leona) Jenkens and Mrs. Daniel (Lottie) Royer, both residing in Washington; two brothers, George and Pearl, both of Akron and seven grandchildren.

Funeral services for Charles R. Tucker, age 76, of Storm Lake, Iowa were held Saturday morning, November 18,1972 at the Mauer Funeral Home, Le Mars. Burial was in the Le Mars Memorial
Cemetery.

Mr. Tucker died November 15 at the Storm Lake hospital. He was born September 19, 1896 in Plymouth County. He married Bertha Dempster in July, 1923 at Le Mars. They lived in Le Mars until moving to Storm Lake in 1969.

Survivors are his widow; sons Charles and Wilbur of Storm Lake; seven grandchildren; brothers George and Pearl of Akron; sisters Mrs. William Jenkins and Mrs. Daniel Royer in Washington state.
