Life's End
MRS. LILLIAN MOIR--LONGTIME RESIDENT HERE--DIES AT AGE OF 83

Mrs. Lillian Moir, 83, a resident of LeMars since 1902, died Saturday at her home at 317 Centr. Ave. SW after an illness of six weeks.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the First Presbyterian church with Rev. James Ransom officiating. Burial will be in the city cemetery under the direction of Mauer's funeral home.

Lillian Harriman was born Aug. 24, 1875, at Sioux Rapids, the daughter of Chancy Allison and Susan Hemenway Harriman. Her marriage to Russell Moir took place at LeMars, Sept. 27, 1894. The couple farmed in the Orange City vicinity until moving to LeMars.

Mrs. Moir was a 50 years member of the First Presbyterian church here and member of the church Women's association.

Survivors include two sons, Earl of LeMars, and Lloyd of Orange City; a daughter, Mrs. Alice Deegan of Orange City; two brothers, Marshall Harriman of Spencer and Curtis Harriman of Bellingham, Wash.; one sister, Nell Gallimore of Belle Fourche, S. D.; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
