Seney Pioneer Died Thursday
Death Claims Mrs. Amelia Lancaster

Mrs. Amelia Lancaster, long time resident of the Seney community, died Thursday afternoon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Vincent Lancaster.

Deceased was born at Sandwich, Illinois, on May 10, 1857 and was 88 years of age at the time of her death. She moved to Plymouoth county when a young girl and on November 20, 1879, was united in marriage with John Lancaster who preceded her in death on May 13, 1936. Since that time she has resided in the home of her daughter.

Mr. and Mrs. Lancaster farmed in Plymouth county for many years before they retired and moved to Seney to make their home.

Deceased was a member of the Methodist church and was active in church affairs until 1934 when she suffered a stroke and was unable to continue her church work.

Mrs. Lancaster was preceded in death by her husband and four brothers and two sisters. She leaves to mourn her death, her daughter, Mrs. Vincent Lancaster and one son, John of Denver, Colo., and several nieces, nephews and grandchildren.

Funeral services were held in the Seney Methodist church on Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock and interment (was) in the Seney cemetery.
