Friday Services Set For Mrs. Darville; Fall Proved Fatal

Funeral services will be held Friday at 1:45 p.m. at the First Methodist church for Mrs. Edith Estelle Darville, 77, who died Monday at the Methodist hospital in Sioux City.

Mrs. Darville's death resulted from a broken hip suffered Feb. 14, when she fell on some ice. The Rev. H. V. Bartz will conduct the service and burial will be in the LeMars cemetery.

A native of Plymouth county, she was born July 25, 1872, in Fredonia township, and spent her entire life in the county. She was the daughter of Milton and Lucy Preston Coolbaugh.

She came to LeMars as a child, and attended the public schools and Normal school. She taught in the county rural school until her marriage Dec. 4, 1892 to Henry W. Darville.

They farmed until 1925 when they retired and moved to LeMars. Mr. Darville preceded his wife in death.

Survivors include Mrs. Darville's two sons, Leslie C. Darville of Suisun (City), Calif., and Harold Darville of Sioux City; her two daughters, Mrs. Gerben (Amy) Keizer of Hawarden and Mrs. Ernest (Lila) Weber of LeMars.

Mrs. Darville had 12 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She was a member of the Methodist church and its women's organizations and the Sunshine club.
