Obituary

Paul Robert Reeves

Paul Robert Reeves, 435 Eighth Ave. SW, died Tuesday night at Floyd Valley hospital after a 6 1/2-month illness. He has been hospitalized a month.

He was 68. Mr. Reeves was born Jan. 13, 1900, in central Iowa. He was a construction worker and in recent years had been employed by the Plymouth county engineer's office as a gravel checker.

Mr. Reeves came to Plymouth county and the Seney vicinity as a child and had lived in the county ever since.

He was married to Freda Boyens Oct. 23, 1940, at Sioux City. He was the son of the late Robert and Lucy Reeves.

Services are planned for 1:30 p.m. Friday at the First Baptist church, with burial in a LeMars cemetery. There will be a prayer service at 8 p.m. Thursday at Mauer funeral chapel. Rev. Richard Milne will officiate, assisted by Rev. Albert Murdoch, Plattsmouth, Neb., the father-in-law of a daughter.

Surviving are his wife, Freda, LeMars; one daughter, Mrs. Arthur (Gail) Murdoch, Alliance, Ohio; one son, Roger Lobdell, Fullerton, Calif.; two grandchildren, Scott and Kristy Murdoch, Alliance and a sister, Mrs. May Tabor, Waterloo.
