Adam "Buster" James Tindall, Jr., 84, of Le Mars, died Sunday, Sept. 28, 2003, in an automobile accident.

Adam "Buster" James Tindall Jr. was born Aug. 20, 1919, in Akron, the son of Adam James and Lizza (Grebner) Tindall Sr. He attended rural school in the Akron area. He married Helen Buryanek on Dec. 26, 1956, in Westfield. He lived on the home farm east of Akron all of his life, until his retirement in 1996 and the couple moved to Le Mars.

Mr. Tindall was a member of Adaville United Methodist church where he served as a trustee, a member of Pleasant Valley Cemetery Association as treasurer and a member of Farm Bureau.

In his free time, Buster enjoyed farm life and coffee with friends. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He had a great love of God, which he passed on to his family. He was a great friend to many people. After retiring, he loved to spend time on his John Deere mower.

Survivors include three sons and three daughters and their families: son Bob Tindall and his wife, Barb, of Rapid City, S.D., and grandchildren Dustyn Larson, Brian Larson, David Larson, Michael Larson and Jessica Larson; daughter Sue Schultz and her husband, Mel, of Le Mars, and granddaughter Jennifer Schultz and her fiance, Jason Hetrick; son Mike Tindall and his fiancée, Synda Swift, of Omaha, Neb., and grandchildren Meghen Tindall, Madysen Tindall, Drew Swift, Linsey Swift and Jordan Swift; daughter Cindy Susemihl and her husband, Gary, of Le Mars, and grandchildren, Brett and his wife, Deb Susemihl, Joe and his wife, Amanda Susemihl and Matt Susemihl; daughter Laurie Hunt and her husband, Stuart, of Shawnee, Kan., and grandchildren Allison Hunt, Amy Hunt and Tim Hunt; son Dan Tindall and his wife, LeAnn, of Akron, and grandchildren Zach Tindall, Kayla Tindall and Danika Tindall; two sisters, Phyllis Allen and her husband, Claire of Akron, and Grace Feuerhelm of Merrill; numerous nieces and nephews and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Tim; his twin brother, Alan, who was killed in World War II; and a granddaughter, Rebecca Schultz.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Adaville United Methodist Church, rural Merrill, with the Rev. Benjamin Meeks of Adaville United Methodist Church and Pastor Fred Gums of Le Mars Bible Church, officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery, rural Merrill.

Visitation will be after 2 p.m. today (Wednesday) at the Carlsen Funeral Home in Le Mars, with a prayer service at 7 p.m. The Schroeder Funeral Home of Akron is in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers will be David Allen, Alan Feuerhelm, Joe Susemihl, Jeff Buryanek, Bill Buryanek and Donald Buryanek.
