Note: His mother's maiden name is Warren. His first wife's maiden name is Collins. His second wife's maiden name is Nicholson. He is buried in Le Mars Memorial Cemetery.

Chester Nelson McDougall, 80, died Monday, Jan. 21, 1974 at Floyd Valley hospital after an illness of several months He had been at the hospital the last six weeks. Mr. McDougall was a retired farmer and resided at 901 Second Ave. SW, Le Mars.
He was a lifelong resident of Plymouth county and farmed until retiring to Le Mars in 1960.
He was born Oct. 7, 1893 in Plymouth county and was the son of James N. and Martha Warren McDougall. His marriage to Edith R. Nicholson took place Nov. 23, 1922 in Sioux City.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Jan. 23 at 2 p.m. at First United Methodist church, Le Mars. Rev. Everett Staats will officiate and burial will be in Le Mars Memorial cemetery under direction of the Mauer funeral home in Le Mars.
Mr. McDougall was a member of the First United Methodist church in Le Mars.
Survivors are his wife, Edith, Le Mars seven sons, James McDougall, Minneapolis; William, Richard, Douglas and Mark McDougall all of Le Mars and Nick McDougall, Hampton and Dennis McDougall, Pampa, Tex.; three daughters, Mrs. Eugene (Mabel) Scholer, LeMars; Mrs. David (Janice) Petry, Clinton and Mrs. Gene (Edythe) Swanson, M.D., Rochester, Minn.; one brother, John McDougall, Le Mars. There are 39 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother and four sisters.
