CLYDE F. COPPOCK

LeMars, Iowa – Special: Funeral service for Clyde Ferguson Coppock, 47, prominent LeMars business man who died Monday at a Sioux City hospital, will be a 2 p.m. Thursday at the First Baptist Church here. The Rev. Kenneth Humpleby will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Cemetery under the direction of the Luken Funeral Home.

Mr. Coppock had been ill several weeks.

Mr. Coppock had been associated with his father and brother in an automobile business since 1949. Prior to that he was employed by a hardware firm here.

Mr. Coppock was born Dec. 13, 1917, at LeMars. He married Helen Kern June 4, 1939, at LeMars. A 1936 graduate of LeMars High School, Mr. Coppock served in the armed forces from February to August in 1943.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church of LeMars, Gibem Lodge 322 AF&AM, Scottish Rites Masonic Lodge, the Sioux City Consistory, Elks Club and the American Legion.

Survivors include the widow; a daughter, Janice at Stevens College, Columbia, MO.; a son, Darrell of Schaller; a brother, Ashton of Denver, Colo.; the parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Coppock of LeMars, and a grandchild.
