John D. Hauschild

John D. Hauschild, 91, Le Mars, Plymouth county native and lfetime resident, died Friday (Nov. 24, 1989) at Plymouth Manor Care Center after an extended illness.

Services were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Le Mars St. John's Lutheran church. Rev. Gary Landsness officiated. Burial was in Grant township Christ Lutheran church cemetery under direction of Mauer-Johnson funeral home in Le Mars.

Mr. Hauschild was born May 3, 1898, in Grant township to John H. and Reika Siebels Hauschild. He married Elizabeth Zimmerman March 2, 1921, in Le Mars. She died in 1953.

He married Katie Frieberg Sept. 24, 1954, in Le Mars. He was a farmer in Grant township until 1947, when he retired and later worked at the Le Mars Sales Barn. He moved into Le Mars in 1947. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran church.
Survivors include his wife, Katie of Le mars; a daughter, Arlene Hubert Olson of Stoughton, Wisc., and a daughter-in-law, Betty Hauschild, Le Mars; nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
