Mrs. H. Borchers

Mrs. Helene Borchers, who resided in section 9, Johnson township, route 4 with a son Ben J. Borchers, passed away February 27, 1962 at Akron Community hospital after an illness of only four weeks. She was 87 years of age.

Helena Toel was born October 27, 1874 at Schortens, Germany. She was married to Henry Borchers, March 27, 1894 in Preston township, Plymouth county. Her parents were Margretta Folkers and Anton Toel.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 2, at 2 p. m. at St. John's Lutheran church, Preston township near Akron. Burial will be in St. John's Lutheran cemetery in Preston township. Rev. Conrad Guetzlaff will officiate at last rites. Mauer funeral home has charge of arrangements.

Survivors include four children, Mrs. Anna Toel of Burnsville; Ben J. Borchers, LeMars; Mrs. Alma Plueger, Akron; Mrs. Frieda Eilers of LeMars; twelve grandchildren; 38 great grandchildrenand eleven great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Borchers in 1943 and two brothers, Fred Toel and Bernard Toel.

Deceased was a member of St. john's Lutheran church, Preston township.
