AKRON WOMAN IS CALLED BY DEATH SUNDAY, AUG. 13

Rites Are Being Held On Thursday For Mrs. Wm. Hoffman

Mrs. William Hoffman, 64, of Akron, passed away early Sunday morning at the Methodist Hospital, Sioux City, after an extended illness.

The former Julia Ann Paul, she was born July 19, 1903, at Nevada, Mo. She was united in marriage with William F. Hoffman on September 15, 1927, at Alvo, Neb. The couple moved to Akron in 1944, and farmed southeast of town for a number of years. Mrs. Hoffman was a member of Wesley Methodist church and the Ladies Aid Society.

Their many friends in this community extend sympathy to the bereaved relatives.

Survivors include the widower; two sons, William F. of Platteville, Wis., and Walter Lee of Portland, Ore.; a daughter, Mrs. Desmond Boyd of San Francisco; three brothers, George Paul of Kelovona, B. C., Wilbur Paul of Blackfoot, Alt., Canada, and William Paul of Independence, Kan.;and two sisters,Mrs. A. E.Robinson of Parlier, Calif., and Mrs. Otis Jarrad of Rifle, Colo..

Funeral services were held this (Thursday) afternoon at Wesley Methodist church, Rev. Leland Eyres officiating. Richard Smith was vocalist and Mrs. Orin Harris was organist.

Casket bearers were Lee Harris, Robert Kerr, Jr., Robert Tucker, David Nelson, Herb Woudenburg and Daryl Port. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery.
