DEATH TAKES SECOND MEMBER OF McARTHUR FAMILY AT SENEY

Mrs. Alex McArthur, 85, Seney resident whose husband died Sept. 29, followed him in death Saturday, Oct. 20, 1956, after a brief illness. She died at Sacred Heart hospital where she had been a patient for four days.

She was born March 4, 1871, at Darlington, Wisc., but had lived most of her life in Seney. Annie Lancaster and Alex McArthur were married July 30, 1890, at Seney. He had operated a rural store there for many years.

Surviving are three sons; Roy A. of Brighton, Mich., Irving W. of Sioux City, and Melvin N. of Westmount, Ill; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Preceding her in death, besides her husband, were her parents and an infant daughter.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Seney Methodist church. Burial was in the Seney cemetery under the direction of Mauer's funeral home.
