Obituary - Martha ( GULMAN ) HAGED
Martha HAGED nee GULMAN was born at South Bend, Ind. on the 24th day of January, 1821, and passed away peacefully at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John PRITCHARD. Had "Grandma" Haged lived one week longer she would have reached the 80th milestone in the journey of her life. In the year 1841 she was joined in wedlock to George B. HAGED. To this union were born nine children, all of them whom have preceeded her to the spirit world except her now beloved daughter, Mrs. PRITCHARD.
Mrs. HAGED was converted at the age of eighteen and joined the Methodist church. Thirty five years age she with her family moved to Perry Creek, at which place she became a member of the U. B. church. She leaves to mourn her death a daughter and thirteen grand children besides a host of friends.
The funeral services were held at the home of her daughter. Interment was made at the Lincoln cemetery. Rev. J. J. DeWall officiated at the service. [16 Jan 1909]
