CROUCH, LATHROP, REYNOLDS

James M. CROUCH, of Hinton, died on Friday, after a long illness from dropsy. For several weeks it was seen that his condition was hopeless and physcian in attendance could hold no hopes for his relatives of recovery. He was devotedly nursed by his wife and trained nurses.

Mr. CROUCH was an old and respected resident of the south part of the county. He made his home in Perry township for many years before moving to Hinton.

James M. CROUCH was born June 19, 1858, near Potosi, Wisconsin and when a young man came to Plymouth county in 1881. He lived on a farm on the Perry creek for twenty five years and for the past few years lived in Hinton. He was twice married. In June 1878 he was united in marriage with Miss Flora LATHROP. Their wedded marriage was short lived, his bride dying within three months of her wedding day. In April 1882 he was united in marriage with Miss Frona REYNOLDS, the cermony taking place in this county. To this union ten children were born, and six of them are living and with the mother, mourn the loss of their parent. They are: Albert, Mrs. Will REYNOLDS, Stewart, John, Joseph, and Ettie, all residing in Hinton and vicinity.

The deceased also leaves four brothers and a sister to mourn his death. They are: A. W. CROUCH of this city, John of this county, R. M. CROUCH, of Los Angeles, Cal., W. S. CROUCH of Morningside, Sioux City and Mrs. August MARLEWE (?) of Lancaster, Wis.

The funeral was held on Monday at the Methodist church in Hinton, of which the deceased was a faithful and consistant member. Interment was made in the Liberty township cemetery, the remains being laid beside those of the children who preceded him in death.

The family has been sorely bereaved within the past year, two sons dying within a few hours of eash other last winter.
