Charles E. ANDERSON
Charles E. ANDERSON, 75, of Hinton died Tuesday ( June 4, 1985 ) at a Sioux City hospital after a brief illiness.
Funeral was at 1 p.m. Thursday in Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel in Sioux City, Rev. Greg Wittie, pastor of Augustana Lutheran Church, officiated. Burial was in Liberty cemetery, rural Hinton. Visitation was from 1 to 9 p.m. Wednesday with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. in the funeral home.
Mr. Anderson was born June 10, 1909 in Plymouth county to Henry and Anna Asplund Anderson and was a lifelong county resident. He married Emma Heise Dec. 30, 1953, in Tyndall, S.D. He farmed in Perry township for many years before moving to Hinton in 1961. He then worked for the Bartlett Grain Elevator until 1974.
Mr. Anderson was a member of Augustana Lutheran Church in Sioux City
Survivors are his wife; one son, Dennis of Sioux Falls; on daughter, Mrs. Terrance (Debra) McAllister of Sioux City; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Richard ( Betty ) Bohlke of Sioux Falls; one brother, Alfred of Pierson; one sister, Mrs. Lyle ( Pauline ) Juhl of Merrill; two grandchildren; three step granchildren and one step great grandchild.
