Services Saturday for Carl E. ANDERSON

Funeral services for Carl E. Anderson, 91, who died Thursday, Sept. 3., at a Sioux City hosptial, were held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at Nelson - Berger North Side Funeral home in Sioux City. Rev. Henry G. Held of the United Church of Christ officiated. Burial was in the Liberty Township cemetery.

Pallbearers were Alfred Anderson, Charles Anderson, Albert Swanson, Kenneth Asplund, George Hartman, and William Simons.

Mr. Anderson was born in Osterjutland, Sweden, on July, 22, 1873, and moved to Chicago when he was 21. He resided in Creston, IA., before moving to Plymouth county and Perry township in 1905. He married Lottie ASPLUND in Sioux City on Feurary 20, 1907. They lived in Newcastle, Neb., from 1927 until 1936 when they returned to Plymouth county to farm.

Mr. Anderson retired and moved to Sioux City in 1945. Mrs. Anderson died on November 14, 1952, in Sioux City. For the last nine years he had lived with his daughter, Mrs. Kenneth JOHNSON, near Hinton.

Survivors in addition to the daughter include two sons, Edmund A. of Hinton, and Raymond W. of Sioux City; three other daughters, Mrs. Lloyd Cain of McCook Lake, Mrs. John Hoffman of Omaha, and Mrs. Helen Hilton of Sioux City; 13 granchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Sept. 1964
