Ralph Obermire Rites Tuesday

Funeral services for Ralph Obermire, 80, who died Saturday, Oct. 6, 1951, at the Sacred Heart Hospital, will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic church Tuesday, Oct. 9, at 9:30 a.m. The Rt. Rev. Msgr. J. D. Fisch will conduct the services and burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mr. Obermire, who entered the hospital three weeks ago, had been in ill health for the past few weeks. He was born Feb. 16, 1871 in Waupon, Wisc. He came here with his family in 1872 and farmed in Elgin township.

They later moved to Dickinson County, Neb., but after two years they returned to Plymouth County, Iowa, and have lived here since. He was married to Mary Effie Ewin in LeMars, Iowa, Feb. 16, 1898.

His wife survives as do three children, Joseph Harvey Obermire of LeMars, Martin A. Obermire of Frasier Park, Calif., and Rev. Burtrum (Ralph, Jr) Obermire of Corning, N.Y. Also surviving are six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; a brother, Peter of Sioux City and a sister, Mrs. Wally Mcloud of Norfolk, Neb.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Margaret Ella, four brothers and six sisters. The body will be at the Wiltgen-Luedtke funeral home until service time.
