Le Mars, IowaFred Jacobs died at his home in Preston Township on Friday morning after a long illness of liver ailment.
The funeral will be held on Monday afternoon at the German Lutheran church in Preston Township conducted by Rev. Theo. Meyer. He was 58 years of age.
--------------------------------------------Death of an Old Resident
Fred Jacobs died at his home in Preston township, after a long illness, caused by liver complaint. He was a native of Germany being born in Oldenburg. He came to Plymouth county in 1870 locating in Preston township where he has lived since. He leaves a widow, a son and a daughter, Mrs. Rudolph Airs (Erks).
The funeral was held on Monday afternoon at the German Lutheran church, Rev. Theo Meyer, officiating, and was largely attended by old friends and neighbors.
