Raymond F. DeRocher, 59, Atlantic, former Akron and Westfield farmer, died Friday, November 13, at an Atlantic Hospital after a short illness.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Ellendale, with Rev. James Fangman officiating. Burial was in the parish cemetery under direction of the Manning O'Toole Funeral Home, Sioux City. Rosary was recited at 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Pallbearers were Joseph Banks, John DeRocher, Robert DeRocher, Leo De Rocher, Joseph Thomas and Wurth Banks.

He was born April 29,1911, at Westfield. He married Cordelia M. Thomas of Akron at St. Patrick Catholic Church March 28, 1940. He farmed in the Akron-Westfield area until 1950 when he went to Atlantic and worked on construction there.

Survivors are his wife, Cordelia of Le Mars; an adopted son, James DeRocher in the army at San Antonio, Tex.; his mother, Mrs. Mary DeRocher of Los Angeles; a brother, William P. of Merrill; a sister, Mrs. Mary Rothfork of Los Angeles and two grandchildren.
