Clarence E. Woolworth

Clarence Earl Woolworth, 90, Route 1, Hinton, died Thursday (June 25, 1987) at a Sioux City hospital after a brief illness.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at United Methodist church at Hinton. Rev. Dale Stone will officiate. Burial will be in Graceland Park Cemetery at Sioux City.

Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. Friday at Anderson-Perasso Funeral Home in Sioux City.

Mr. Woolworth was born Sept. 28, 1896, at Hinton and was a lifelong area farmers. He was also an electrician and was responsible for the wiring in many area homes. He married Viola Trafton in December 1924. She died Nov. 14, 1933, at Sioux City. Mr. Woolworth retired in 1962. He was an amateur radio operator for many years.

Mr. Woolworth was a Navy veteran of World War I. He was a member of United Methodist church at Hinton and Post 477, American Legion of Hinton.

Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Harvey (Jean) Huggenberger of Hinton; a sister, Hattie Schalk of Hinton; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
