JAMES WOOLWORTH DIES

Retired Farmer Succumbs to Paralysis at Home In Leeds

Sioux City Journal: James H. Woolworth, 4430 Springfield avenue, Leeds, died yesterday after a two years illness of paralysis. He was 72 years old and a retired farmer.

Mr. Woolworth retired from his farm in Plymouth county fifteen years ago. He came to Iowa in 1874. He was born in New York state May 23, 1843. He was in the civil war for about two and, one-half years, being a member of the Eleventh Wisconsin regiment.

Surviving are his widow and eight children. The children are James H. Woolworth, Frank F. Woolworth, Robert Woolworth, Sam Woolworth, Mrs. Kate Luce, of Hinton, Iowa; Mrs. Eva Wilson, Miller, S.D., Mrs. Nellie Montgomery, of Sioux City, and Mrs. Rose Savage, of Sioux City.
