Miss Myrtle Herman, who has made a home with her brother, Harvey, near Adaville, this county, passed away Sunday, December 26, 1926, at a hospital in Burke, S. D., after a brief illness of pneumonia, at the age of 37 years. A few weeks ago she went to assist in the care of her father, Ed. Herman, who was seriously ill of pneumonia, and is now convalescing. She contracted the disease and was taken to the hospital, from her father's home near Lucas, S. D. for treatment. She was not overly strong and succumbed to the malady.

Miss Herman was a woman of very fine qualities, had many friends and was highly esteemed by all, who offer their sincere sympathy to the bereaved relatives.

She was a niece of Mrs. C. M. Huilker and George Stinton, of this city.

The remains were brought to Merrill Monday and funeral services held at the Adaville U. B. Church, Tuesday afternoon, conducted by the pastor. Rev. L. A. Fleming. The Royal Neighbors of Merrill, of which order deceased was a member, acted as pallbearers and had charge of the burial service in the Adaville cemetery, where she was laid to rest beside her mother, who died a number of years ago.
