Hans Knudsen, 72, Akron, died Wednesday
(Nov. 7, 1979) at his home after
a long illness.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in
the Schroeder funeral home. Rev.
Harold Sieglaff will officiate. Burial
will be in Riverside cemetery.

Graveside military services will be
conducted by Hoschler post 186,
American Legion.

Mr. Knudsen was bom Dec. 29,1906,
at Varde, Denmark. He came to the
United States and to Oyens at the age of
four. He also lived in Le Mars.

He married Velma Ross Aug. 23,
1945, at Dakota City, Neb. He farmed
near Westfield for several years and
northwest of Akron for 27 years,
retiring to Akron in 1975.

He was a veteran of world war 2 who
served three years overseas. He
received Bronze Stars for the Italian
campaign. He was a member of
Hoschler post 186, American Legion, at
Akron and Veterans of Foreign Wars
post 915 at Elk Point, S.D.

Survivors are his wife; two
daughters, Mrs. Emil (Sandra) Wilier
of Akron and Jolene at home, and a
grandchild.
