Louis Burkard

Louis Burkard, a lifelong resident here, died unexpectedly on Saturday morning of a heart attack at one of his farms near Le Mars.

Mr. Burkard was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Fredolin Burkard.

He was a veteran of world war 1 and a member of Eagles lodge.

Survivors are four sisters, Mrs. Katherine Wellong, Miss Anna Burkard and Mrs. Mary Ellensohn, all of Le Mars, and Mrs. Florence Wichlac of Sioux City: and two brothers,
John of Dell Rapids, S, D., and Henry of Le Mars.

Mr. Burkhard also was preceded in death by a sister Rose and two brothers, William and Joseph.

Funeral services will be at 9 a. m. Tuesday at St. James Catholic church. Rev, L. J. LaVelle will officiate. Burial will be Calvary cemetery under the direction of the Wiltgen-Luedtke funeral home. Friends may visit the funeral home until time of services.
