Patrick J. Boyle
Patrick J. Boyle, longtime resident of Le Mars, who resided at 500 third street southeast passed, away at Sacred Heart hospital on June 2, I962. He was 90 years of age and had been hospitalized for the past ten days.
Mr. Boyle was born January 27, 1872 at Scales Mound, Illinois. He came to this community as a boy of 17 and farmed for several years near Le Mars. He had lived here for 73 years.
His marriage to Edna Heath took place May 19, 1909. He was preceded in death by his wife on March 29, 1962. Also preceding him in death were two sons, Joseph and Willard.
Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m., Thursday, June 7 at St. James Catholic church with Rev. L. J. LaVelle officiating. Burial will be in Calvary cemetery under direction of the Wiltgen Luedtke funeral home. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m., on Wednesday. The parish rosary will be recited at 8 p.m., Wednesday.
Survivors include three daughters Mrs. Ray Wiese of Le Mars; Mrs. Harold Miller of Oskaloosa, Iowa, and Mrs. William Nobel of Vineland, New Jersey; seven sons Owen of Le Mars; Charles and Francis of Hawthorne, California, Tom of Long Beach, California, Edward of Baton Rouge, La.; Clarence of Kansas City, Kansas, and William of Central City, Iowa. There are 27 surviving grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
